David Arquette Apologizes For Tell-All Interview With Howard Stern

Well..that was quick: David Arquette says he’s sorry that he revealed the intimate details of his crumbling marriage to wife Courteney Cox in a telephone interview with shock jock Howard Stern on Tuesday.

Arquette called into Stern’s Sirus Satellite Radio Show this week to talk about his split. The actor also admitted that he slept with Hollywood cocktail waitress Jasmine Waltz, 28, and that it made him feel “manly”.
“I did have sex with her one time, maybe twice… my sexual encounter made me feel pretty manly,” David told Howard. “Part of the terms of our separation was that I was allowed to see other people and so was she.”
The actor also said he knew his wife was having an “emotional affair” with her Cougar Town co-star Brian Van Holt, 40, but did not know whether it was physical.
In a series of updates to his Twitter page on Wednesday, David, 39, fears he may have shared too much information during his purging chat with Stern. David even revealed that he hadn’t had sex with Cox for four months!
“I went on Howard Stern yesterday to provide clarity and honesty about what I’m experiencing, but while doing that, I shared too much.… “ David wrote. “It’s alright for me to be honest about my own feelings but in retrospect some of the information I provided involved others and for that I am sorry and humbled,” he added.
Despite his regrets over his statements, he now says he believes this rough patch in his life will only make him stronger.
“I’m sure Courteney and myself will emerge from this painful time better people from what we’ve learned. Thank you for all your Love and support at this time. I’m trying figuring out how to be the best person I can be…”

The Jonas Brothers Cancel Mexico Concert Amid Security Concerns

The Jonas Brothers have cancelled an upcoming concert in Mexico following a wake of violent attacks on civilians in that country.

The “Lovebug” hitmakers were due to perform in Monterrey on 21 October, but promoters with Live Nation have axed the gig due to “a series of unfortunate events” prompting concerns for the singing sibilings’ welfare. Monterrey is Mexico’s richest city and historically one of its safest, but a wave of drug-related violence has shocked residents there in recent months. More than 400 people have died in drug-related killings in the area in the last year.
On Wednesday, JoBro fan Dharyus Ledezma begged the trio on their Facebook page to announce a new concert date soon. The Monterrey resident said she had been looking forward to seeing the band since the show was announced five months ago.
Kevin, Joe, and Nick are still expected to perform in the Mexican cities of Guadalajara and Mexico City on Oct. 23 and 24.

Michael Lohan Turned Down “Celebrity Apprentice”

Lindsay Lohan’s estranged father is a man of many opinions — thankfully for the rest of us, he won’t be sharing any of them on the next installment of The Celebrity Apprentice.

Michael Lohan had been in negotiations to be part of the cast of Donald Trump’s hit NBC show, but ultimately turned down an apppearance on the show because he’s “too busy.”
“Although the meeting went well, I was too busy with other things to be on the show,” says the former Wall Street trader.
Rapper Lil Jon, baseball star Jose Canseco, former Sugar Ray frontman Mark McGrath, R&B legend Dionne Warwick, pseudo-singer Latoya Jackson, and the always opinionated Star Jones have reportedly signed up for the third season of The Apprentice’s C-list celebrity spinoff, which goes into production in New York next week.

Lamar Odom Hires Kris Jenner As Manager

The toughest Hollywood family to keep up with is keeping it in the family in a whole new way. We hear that Calabasas socialite and star of television’s Keeping Up With The Kardashian Kris Jenner has agreed to represent her son-in-law — NBA ace Lamar Odom — as one of the hoopster’s new managers.
Lamar married Kris’ daughter Khloe, 26, following a whirlwind romance last September.
Word is Kris will handle all of Lamar’s “non-basketball” stuff, including endorsement deals for the standard fee of 25% of all proceeds. Kris’ duties will also include setting up paid appearances for Lamar and we’d presume, filming a sex tape between him and Khloe.

VH1 Divas 2010 — Katy Perry, Keri Hilson, Nicki Minaj — Will Honor America’s Troops

This year’s VH1′s Divas will not only pay tribute to the talent of singers like Katy Perry, Sugarland, Keri Hilson, and Paramore, but also to the brave men and women who risk their lives our country.
This year’s “Divas” are taking some of the focus off themselves by singing for the military through a partnership with the USO, VH1 said in a press statement on Thursday.

This December, Perry, Sugarland, Hilson, and femcee Nicki Minaj will perform for thousands of troops at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego for the VH1 special Divas Salute The Troops. Paramore will visit Marines, soldiers, airmen, sailors, coastguardsmen and reservists at a military base in the Middle East, organizers say.
USO was launched in 1941 to build morale among troops. The program was instrumental in bringing some of the most iconic stars of all time — including Frank Sinatra, Judy Garland, Sammy Davis, Jr. and Marilyn Monroe — to the warfield. Today, those shows are still vital to boosting troop morale and VH1 is dedicated to working with the USO to continue this tradition in new and innovative ways.
“The USO is thrilled to be partnering with VH1 and honored to be a part of delivering such an uplifting event to our nation’s troops,” said Sloan Gibson, USO President. “The holidays are especially tough for our men and women in uniform and their families, and having the opportunity to touch so many troops stationed around the world at a time of year that matters most lets them know that America still cares about their welfare. There is no better time to celebrate our armed forces and support their efforts than now.”
Hilson called it an incredible opportunity.
“I get to be among so many other influential women, groundbreaking women, strong, powerful, confident women, not only on that day, but just to be a part of the legacy of ‘VH1 Divas,’” she said. “Strong woman, yes I am. Leader, yes I am. Innovative, creative, all those things, yes, I am that.”
Jennifer Nettles of Sugarland also chimed in with her excitement over being selected for this year’s Divas lineup.
“All of these women definitely have a larger than life persona, be it on stage or who they are or what they wear,” she said. “I think there’s something to be said for celebrating that.”
Since its premiere on VH1 in 1998, a host of entertainers have been honored as part of the annual Divas Special — they include Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Mary J. Blige, Shania Twain, Faith Hill, Whitney Houston, and Beyonce.
VH1 Divas Salute The Troops premieres Dec. 5 on VH1. The special will be broadcast internationally by The Armed Forces Network.

Christina Aguilera Divorce: Did Aguilera Cheat On Husband Jordan Bratman?

Divorce is in the air! Hot on the heels of the Courteney Cox/David Arquette split (and the Laura Dern/Ben Harper split, while we’re at it) comes the news that after a son and five years of marriage, pint-sized powerhouse Christina Aguilera has filed for divorce from her husband, producer Jordan Bratman.

Christina, 29, and Jordan, 33, began dating in 2002, before announcing their engagement in February 2005. They tied the knot in a wedding ceremony in the Napa Valley that November. It was the first marriage for both.
The date of separation is listed as Sept. 11, 2010, although celebrity snoops maintain that Jordan and Christina have been leading separate lives for several months. According to the rumor mill, Aguilera may have had an extramarital affair, but that has yet to be confirmed and Aguilera’s people have not commented.
“They were very much in love, but over the last six months, it became clear they were more like friends than husband and wife,” tipster tell Us Weekly.

The “Fighter” hitmaker cites the ever-popular “irreconciliable differences” as the reason for the split. Since there is a prenup in place, Christina wants to stop Jordan’s ability to get spousal support. According to the divorce petition, filed in Los Angeles Thursday, Christina asks that “Earnings and accumulations of [Aguilera] before marriage, during marriage and from and after the date of separation” be considered separate property.
The two will share custody of their 2-year-old son, Max.
On Tuesday, a rep for the multiplatinum-selling Grammy winner confirmed the couple had split, with the singer issuing a statement.
“Although Jordan and I are separated, our commitment to our son Max remains as strong as ever,” Christina said at the time.

Spike TV Mining Reality Show, “Coal,” Series Premiere April 2011

In what some industry observers are calling a stroke of television casting magic, the producers of TLC’s Deadliest Catch are working on a 10-episode Spike TV docu-series on mining in West Virginia, The Hollywood Reporter dished on Thursday.
News of the upcoming series premiere of Coal comes as TV viewers around the world remain captivated by the rescue of 33 trapped Chilean miners this week. More than 1 billion people worldwide tuned in to watch the harrowing saga unfold via live stream this week.

Spike TV executives, however, say the show has been in development for about a year.
“It didn’t take a tragedy, and then a miracle, to get us excited about this,” says Sharon Levy, executive vice president of original programming at Spike, told The Hollywood Reporter. “Obviously, we’re humongous fans of the kind of shows Thom does that celebrate the everyday man. He said, ‘We’re working on this project called Coal. And we said we’d take it.”
The network postponed formally announcing the premiere of the new show until the Chilean miners — who spent two months trapped nearly a mile underground in a collapsed mine — were safely rescued.
“We’ve tapped into something that people are passionate about; this is a topic the world is interested in,” Levy says. “Everybody is afraid of being buried alive. These people risk their lives every day to make the world move, yet most of us never really think about how we get [our energy].”
Spike believes a closer look at the harsh realities of mining is long overdue.
“It’s incredibly difficult to shoot,” Levy adds. “What happened in Chile makes safety precautions even more important.”
Coal will focus on Mike Crowder and Tom Roberts, co-owners of Cobalt Mine in Westchester, West Virginia, and their mining team of more than 40 employees. The series is executive produced by Thom Beers and his Original Productions company, which also produces Ice Road Truckers and Ax Men.
The series premiere of Coal will debut in April 2011.
